Initially I struggled as I started to write this article. I was feeling flat and not sure that I wanted to write an article.  Then I started to expand the range of ways I could look at this situation by naming what was also true: 

 

I can choose what I want to write about.

I don’t have time.
Writing is a great way to build my business.
It feels hard.
Writing is part of my vision for myself.
This is exciting and it will make a difference to others.

The year 2008 will be remembered for many interesting and remarkable occurrences: the election of Barack Obama and, closer to home, the ousting of one of the most unpopular Liberal leaders in history; a very real attempt to overthrow our Conservative government; the disappearance of Lehman Brothers; a complete meltdown of the stock market; and the significant rise of oil prices followed by a massive drop.

At Four Corners Group, we see a marked change occurring in the way Public and Non-profit Sector organizations approach executive search and their need to attract talent.  As the need and desire for talent increases, organizations are finding new search partners capable of providing a different type of process.
